EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE REME HALO IN-DUCT AIR PURIFIER
The average resting human takes about 16 breaths per minute. As a result, you breathe a little more than 8.4 million times per year. Every breath matters to our lungs. Poor indoor air quality affects millions of people every day, and it causes numerous respiratory health conditions. Your Air Comfort and Quality are important to us – and we recommend the REME HALO In-Duct Air Purifier system.
HOW THE REME HALO IN-DUCT AIR PURIFIER WORKS
Lauded as one of the greatest innovations in IAQ technology, the REME HALO In- Duct Air Purifier recreates the natural process of purifying the air. It allows you to bring fresh air in without opening the windows, purifying every cubic inch of your home. It’s highly effective at eliminating all three indoor air pollutants: particulates, microbes and gases.
So, how does the REME HALO In-Duct Air Purifier work?
The REME HALO In-Duct Air Purifier uses Reflective Electro Magnetic Energy technology. Once installed in the supply plenum of your HVAC system’s air ducts, the REME HALO In-Duct Air Purifier works to produce hydrogen peroxide* plasma. The IAQ solution distributes the plasma through the system’s air handler and ducts and into your living spaces. Other passive indoor air quality solutions require particle pollutants to pass through them for filtration and purification. The REME HALO In-Duct Air Purifier operates more proactively, getting to the source of the pollutants and purifying them instantly. What’s more, the charged plasma also induces particle pollutants to solidify and stick together. As a result, it makes them larger and easier for the HVAC filter to trap.
*Hydrogen peroxides occur naturally in the Earth’s atmosphere. They’re a part of nature’s process of purifying the air.

Whole House High- Efficiency Air Cleaners- Media Filters
We suggest for best purification of your in home air quality that you have a minimum of 4 inch Media Filter system installed.
MEDIA FILTERS VS. STANDARD FURNACE FILTER
Most houses with forced-air furnaces have a standard furnace filter made from loosely woven spun-glass fibers designed to keep it and its ductwork clean. Unfortunately, they don’t improve indoor air quality.
That takes a media filter, which sits in between the main return duct and the blower cabinet. Made of a deeply pleated, paper-like material, media filters are at least seven times better than a standard filter at removing dust and other particles.
An upgrade to a pleated media filter is designed to:
- Remove mold’s food source
- Removes breathable particles
- Traps odors and volatile organic compounds
- Traps particles of:
- Pet Dander
Compressed, media filters are usually no wider than six inches, but the pleated material can cover up to 75 square feet when stretched out. This increased area of filtration accounts for the filter’s long life, usually 1 year.
The only drawback to a media filter is its tight weave, which can restrict a furnace’s ability to blow air through the house. To insure a steady, strong airflow through the house, choose a filter that matches your blower’s capacity- Air filters are rated according to their Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value (MERV). The higher the MERV number, the smaller the particles the filter collects.
However, remember a high MERV means a tighter weave or denser filter. The denser and more efficient the filter, the harder the HVAC system works to pull air through the filter. So it is imperative that you consult with a Licensed HVAC contractor (Absolute Comfort Air) before using too high a Merv or Hypo allergenic filter in your system .
